Fourth of July Fun!

Independence Day is a day to celebrate our beautiful country and the freedom we share. Planning an event for the holiday weekend?  We have pulled some of our favorite patriotic ideas here to guide you in party planning and help you create an event that truly sparkles!

Paper pinwheels, stars and banners are great ways to add excitement and whimsy to any space. Whether you hang them from the ceiling, place them in a table setting or put them in the yard, these fun pops of color liven up all negative spaces. Many of the designs are available in the forms of free printables online!

If you are short on time or looking for a healthy alternative, look no further than tortellini kabobs. Cook any kind of tortellini you like and add fresh cheeses, tomatoes and basil leaves to a skewer, yum!

A red, white and blue trifle might be a fun and easy way to add a sweet treat to the table. Strawberries and blueberries with whipped cream or mousse incorporate colorful crowd pleasers into one delicious dish.

Another DIY! During the day use painted Mason jars to hold flowers, food or decorations. As the night comes to a close, turn the jars into votives and put a tealight candle inside to set the mood.

To end the night with a snap, crackle and pop, pass out some sparklers and take long exposure shots to create some memorable pictures. With fireworks in the sky and sparklers in hand, the night is sure to be a glittering success!
