MEET THE TEAM
Owner and Lead Creative Director
Jennings grew up in Richmond, Virginia, and discovered her true passion for events while at George Mason University where she studied Organizational Management, Special Events and Leadership. After college, she began her career in hospitality in the DC area, before jumping at the chance to manage events for Virginia Repertory Theatre, a nonprofit theatre in her hometown. In 2013, Jennings combined her years of experience in the events field with the professional relationships she had cultivated and began her own venture, Belles & Whistles. She draws her creative energy from the vast culture and charm in and around Virginia and is as comfortable planning a party for 8 as she is for 800. She is known for her attention to detail, positive attitude and ability to take her clients’ visions and turn them into beautiful, memorable experiences. When she’s not crafting your next event, she loves spending time outdoors, running, traveling, eating her way around Richmond’s restaurant scene and relaxing with family and friends.
Lead Event Planner
A Richmond native, Shannon graduated from James Madison University with a degree in interdisciplinary Liberal Studies, and a minor in Early Childhood Education. After landing a job in the Henrico County School System, she returned home and taught for seven years, gaining ample experience in planning and teaching. As a master of logistics and organization, no detail goes untouched under Shannon’s watch. Shannon’s passion for event planning comes from her love for bringing people together. Years of organizing various social events and celebrations for friends, her church, and family ultimately led her to find a place in the event industry. With a keen sense of style & commitment to understanding that of each client, she finds joy in directing and executing their event vision seamlessly. In addition to event planning, she enjoys dance class, spending time with her little ones, friends and family.
