Reflections of 2014: CARLY + RICK

After a bit of a hiatus from the blog, we’re back!! I am finally getting to ooohh and ahhh over some of these pictures as I reflect on past weddings of 2014 and had to share a few favorites on the Belles Blog.

CARLY + RICK

I met Carly years ago when a I assisted her company with a corporate event. She came to Belles & Whistles for help in planning her wedding when she and Rick found themselves feeling a bit overwhelmed while amidst a move, a renovation, and their hectic job schedules. Of course I was thrilled to help!

Carly defined her day as “natural sophistication.” Sarah with Petals & Twigs helped accomplish this with her gorgeous floral design paired with other sophisticated elements we incorporated based on the couple's vision. Both Rick and Carly have great taste which complimented the traditional splendor and class this popular venue provides.

Held at The Jefferson Hotel, their wedding included some fun surprises including the carriage arranged by the Groom which escorted them fairytale style through town from ceremony to reception.

I had such a great time working with Carly and Rick tying all the details together, including these Virginia themed welcome baskets for guests.

I got the chance to catch up with the couple just before the holidays this year, and their smiles were still as big as they are here!
